I became a physical therapist assistant in 1997, then received a bachelor’s degree in
psychology, specializing in motivation. After that, I earned my Master’s in Physical
Therapy at Western Carolina University. I’ve worked in this community since then,
mainly in clinical settings, including administration and management.
I love helping people, and I enjoy what I do so much that it doesn’t feel like work to me.
I’m fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community, and I’m thankful every day to
feel like I can give something back by providing my services.
Now, with PT on the Plateau, I’m doing what I love most – getting back to that direct connection with my clients and helping them feel like their best selves. One of my favorite things about being a mobile physical therapist is that I can support the caregivers and family, as well, and help create a positive environment for recovery and health. With the level of individualized care I provide and greater engagement from everyone, I believe we can exceed the goals that would have been achieved in a traditional PT setting.
