I became a physical therapist assistant in 1997, then got a bachelor’s degree in psychology, specializing in motivation. After that, I earned my Master’s in Physical Therapy at Western Carolina University. I’ve worked in this community since then, mainly in clinical settings including administration and management.
Now, with PT on the Plateau, I’m doing what I love most – getting back to that direct connection with my clients and helping them feel like their best selves. One of my favorite things about being a mobile physical therapist is that I have the ability to support the caregivers and family, as well, and help create a positive environment for recovery and health. With the level of individualized care I provide, and greater engagement from everyone, I believe we can exceed the goals that would have been achieved in a traditional PT setting.
I love helping people, and I enjoy what I do so much that it doesn’t feel like work to me. I’m fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful community and I’m thankful every day to feel like I can give something back by providing my services.
